About the author

My name is Laura and I have been a fundraiser for nearly two years. With a degree in Marketing and Communications I decided to make the switch from commercial to non-profit a couple of years ago and never looked back! 

I currently work as an Individual Giving Manager for a wonderful charity called ORBIS, which aims to eliminate avoidable blindness in developing countries. I am responsible for the retention programme and for writing copy for appeals. I am really passionate about international development and hope to remain in that field for many years to come.
